Literal is a fantasy fiction 12 episode web-series with production scheduled to begin Summer 2014 and air monthly beginning with the upcoming school year (2014-2015).
Doug Hoop lives in the town of Literal. He is not rich but life is good. He never misses a bill, has friends, and for the past 5 years has had a steady job as the WWB-TV weather man. When Typical Christian, his co-worker and friend, leaves to do mission work overseas a lost young girl named Ann wonders into Literal and everything begins to change. Now the question is: will Doug stand up for God and what he believes when everything is taken away…or should he even stand up at all?
S.C. TreeHouse Productions Presents “Literal: What We Believe” a web-series inspired by real-life events surrounding the founders of S.C. TreeHouse Productions.
S.C. TreeHouse Productions strongly believes that as people of God we should stand up for what we believe and never be ashamed of it. We also believe that we should share our beliefs with others. For our company's 5 year anniversary we want to make a statement of faith that is unlike any other--one that fits S.C. TreeHouse Productions. Since our company's mission is to show God’s truths through film we have written a 12 part narrative web-series inspired by S.C. TreeHouse Productions real-life events. These events helped strengthen our family as well as shape our company’s beliefs.

We Believe you should not merely teach “good” morals but instead teach the ways of G-d. Matthew 21:12-1; Revelation 22:18-19; Romans 16:17; 1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 1:7-11; Matthew 21:12-13; Genesis 1- Revelation 22
We Believe that G-d should be the one to guard our hearts. Philippians 4:6-7; Proverbs 23:26; Proverbs 3:5-6; Genesis 1- Revelation 22; 1 John 3:19-20
We Believe in standing up for what you believe and doing G-d’s will even when no one else does. Acts 6-8; Genesis 1- Revelation 22 James 4:17; Romans 12:21; Isaiah 1:17; Matthew 5:10-12

The idea of a web-series began in 2012 following the production of our award-winning short film Boo! Do Something.
Due to the shortage of funds as well as other family dynamics nothing ever came of the idea. However in October 2013 we were approached by a local church to create a children’s play. Ultimately The Checklist was born. However our first idea was for a Pilgrim's Progress style court case where Christmas would sue Mr. Media and St. Church for stealing his identity. With time and prayer we realized that this idea was not what we were supposed to do for the children’s play. Thus we set the court case idea aside saying, "Maybe we'll just make it into a short film someday". Little did we know what the idea would soon become…
Now return if you will to 2012. In mid to early 2012 our family, the founders of S.C. TreeHouse Productions, as well as another family began the epic quest of forming a Messianic Bible Study group. As our Messianic group grew the need to create a statement of faith presented itself. It was during this time that we were approached to create the aforementioned children’s play. In December 2013 we began to also think of different ways to commemorate our company's anniversary. All the talking and praying about a statement of faith for our group got us thinking that it would be cool for S.C. TreeHouse Productions to film our own statement of faith called What We Believe.
Happy New Year! At the beginning of 2014 we decided to create a 12 part web-series based on our beliefs. At this point we remembered the Pilgrim's Progress style court case idea. The two ideas then collided in a spectacular display of G-d’s hand! It was as if G-d was saying, “Without you even realizing it I’ve been preparing you for this moment”. Thus Literal: What We Believe was born.
